I am a dedicated healthcare professional with over a decade of experience in pre-hospital and emergency care. Since graduating as a paramedic in 2014, I have worked across two major NHS ambulance trusts in the UK, gaining valuable experience in high-pressure clinical environments. Prior to this, I worked within an NHS hospital setting in Trauma and Orthopaedics, further broadening my clinical expertise. My role as an Emergency Care Practitioner in a Minor Injuries Unit within Accident & Emergency strengthened my skills in autonomous decision-making and patient management.
My career has also included voluntary service with the British Red Cross, where I served as a Youth Worker, First Aider, and Paramedic. I later transitioned into education, working as an Education Manager, supporting paramedic students in clinical practice across the ambulance service. I have a strong passion for simulation in healthcare education, recently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education (Simulation) at the University of Dundee.
Currently, I am a Module Lead for Professional Studies and Case-Based Learning and serve as Admissions Lead. I take great pride in mentoring future paramedics, helping them develop both their clinical reasoning and professional identity. I am committed to creating dynamic and supportive learning environments that reflect the complexities of modern paramedic practice.
My approach to education is grounded in realism, compassion, and collaboration—aiming to prepare students not just for practice, but for the evolving demands of healthcare delivery.
