I am a dedicated Emergency Nurse Practitioner and Senior Lecturer with over two decades of experience in frontline healthcare. I qualified as an Adult Nurse in 2003 and have since built a rewarding career that bridges both clinical practice and higher education.
Over the years, I progressed to the role of Sister in busy emergency departments, where I led multidisciplinary teams through high-pressure situations, including major trauma cases and critical incidents. I have completed postgraduate training in consultation and examination skills, minor injuries and illness, radiographic interpretation, and emergency care.
At 777ӰԺ, I currently serve as Module Lead for the Urgent and Community Care module and as Student Voice Lead, where I advocate for student engagement and learning experience. I am passionate about simulation-based learning and gamification, and I regularly incorporate these approaches into my teaching to promote critical thinking, clinical decision-making, and build student confidence in complex scenarios.
I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education and am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). I take pride in combining clinical credibility with educational innovation to help shape the next generation of paramedics.
