How much is the tuition fee increasing?
The tuition fee is changing from £9,250 to £9,535 per year, which is an additional £285 per year.
Will I need to reapply for my student loan for the new amount?
You will need to check that you have re-applied for your student loan for the new tuition fee amount. If you have already specified that your tuition fee will be £9,250 on your 25/26 application, then you can make changes to your existing application without having to re-apply.
What if I can’t afford it?
If you get into difficulty paying your fees, please contact the Income Section as soon as possible. You can call them on 0116 207 8810 or email them at income@dmu.ac.uk.

Will my maintenance loan be affected?
Maintenance loans have been increased by 3.1%. The increases are:
- For students living at home, outside of London: From £8,610 to £8,877 a year (a £267 increase).
- For students living in away from home, outside of London: From £10,227 to £10,544 a year (a £317 increase).
- For students studying abroad as part of a UK course: From £11,713 to £12,076 a year (a £363 increase).
