DMU Made named finalists in prestigious national AGCAS Awards

777ӰԺ's DMU Made team has been announced as a finalist in the . 

These prestigious national awards recognise outstanding achievements in careers and employability within higher education. They spotlight quality, innovation, and collaboration across the sector, honouring initiatives that raise professional standards and improve student outcomes.

DMU Made – part of DMU's award-winning Careers team - has been shortlisted for the Enterprise, Entrepreneurship and Employability Award, sponsored by Enterprise Educators UK. This places DMU among the top five universities nationally for student and graduate entrepreneurship support.

On being shortlisted, Richard Bowden, Associate Director, Head of Careers and Graduate Success, said: "Being named a finalist for such a respected national award highlights the dedication and impact of our work supporting students and graduates in developing entrepreneurial mindsets. DMU Made is about empowering students, whether they want to start their own business or bring creativity and enterprise into any career path."

 supports students and recent graduates in exploring self-employment, freelancing, and entrepreneurial skills, whether students aspire to launch a business, being self-employed or apply entrepreneurial thinking in more traditional roles. Key initiatives include pre-startup initiatives such as the , DMU Global entrepreneurship experiences, and the annual DMU Made Awards, featuring the Pitch2Win competition, which take place on Thursday 30 October 2025.

The winners of the AGCAS Awards will be announced during the AGCAS conference at St James's Park in Newcastle, taking place on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 June 2025.
