From Monday 12 to Friday 16 May come and take part in an exciting line-up of activities at Your DMU Community Week. This is your chance to connect with peers, enhance your skills and participate in fun, creative and enriching experiences.
Whether you’re diving into workshops, discovering new hobbies or just looking to unwind, there’s something for everyone. Here’s a snapshot of what you can look forward to:
Kickstart your week at the pop-up shop in the Campus Centre, enjoy free coffee and biscuits in The Pod or join the wellbeing team and decorate your own tote bags in a relaxing environment.
Expand your horizons on Tuesday with an online introduction to reflective writing, share your views and shape DMU’s sustainability strategy at the Sustainability Roadshow or relax and learn a new skill at the knitting workshop.

Break up the week with a mono-printing workshop at the Vijay Patel building, help keep DMU green and clean by taking part in the campus litter pick, learn the expected conventions of written communication with your prospective employers in an online workshop or join a fast-paced and fun game of dodgeball at the Watershed.
On Thursday, join the Planning and Writing Essays session online to perfect your writing skills, sharpen your observation skills and explore artistic techniques with a still-life drawing session or take part in an evening of handball with DMUactive at the Watershed.
Finish the week by elevating your drawing skills with expert guidance at the Contour Fashion drawing bootcamp, join DMUactive for a basketball session or a fun and inclusive glow-in-the-dark volleyball session!

From enhancing your academic skills to discovering new hobbies and making friends, this week is designed to support your success and wellbeing.
